Mmm...Melody

“Without music, life would be a mistake.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche, Twilight of the Idols

My parents introduced me to a wide variety of music. From the Sons of the Pioneers to the Rolling Stones, big band greats like Glenn Miller to the edginess of Bob Dylan. Their music palate was diverse and varied. Our console stereo would play before dawn and music would often end our day. I remember the clicks of 8-tracks, the sound of needle on vinyl, and spindle breaks in over-played cassette tapes.

Music soothes, comforts, and provides company. I can't imagine my day without music. My radio is on all day long at home, even after I leave for work...after all, my plants are still at home and enjoy the tunes as well. Music = stress management. Memories awaken, attention shifts to beat and rhythm, toes tap, and shoulders sway. Melody is a pleasing series of musical notes...what pleases you?

Be Well!
