On Your Journey Towards Good Health: Have You Found Chef AJ?

Allow me to introduce you to a woman I highly admire.

Living in Utah my entire life has meant that I was taught to defer to patriarchal guidance, law, and rules. And while I honor and respect the wise and loving men in my life…I also recognize how long it has taken me to detach from viewing ‘male as meaning Almighty God & ruler of all who follow’. No disrespect intended for those who find this belief comforting.

Throughout my adult life, I have steered towards seeking female wisdom and found guides and teachers beyond my mother and grandmothers. The power of 3 has also led me in a variety of ways - whether you view three as the Holy Trinity or as a basic numeric symbol…the number 3 has been my ‘lucky number’ since I was a child.

Confused by the tag line and where this tale is going? Well, the power of 3 eventually led me to finding Dr. John McDougall and his wife Mary McDougall (that is a long story briefly told in my book)…this amazing couple in turn introduced me to Chef AJ. If you’ve read my book and blog you know that there is always a story in my writing…

Chef AJ is yet another wise woman who I continue to learn from and follow as I seek health and nutritional guidance from women who have blazed the trail ahead of me. After all, I am female, I am a mature adult woman, and who better to help me heal and get well than another woman?
